The Joyeux Music International Festival & Competition for Young Pianists 2021 closed with its Gala Winners' Concert amidst the pandemic on 20th Sept 2021. Held at the Esplanade Recital Studio, 16 Singapore-based performers showcased their works to a vaccinated audience. The festival included masterclasses by the jurors which served to train the prize winners - leading up to the concert. The photos here captured the night's Emcee Benjamin Foo, all the winners based in Singapore - from the Rising Stars, Young Artists and Examination Categories.
Guest appearance by Low Shao Suan, Low Shao Ying, Christine Octaviani and Josephine Koh performed an 8-hand work 'Champagne Toccata' by William Gillock. The prize giving ceremony followed, with winners receiving their trophies, medals and gift vouchers. The JMI committee would like to thank our sponsors, the crew at Esplanade and the jury team that had contributed to the success of this entire competition and festival.
