For All Categories - Solo, Examination and Piano Duo
All entries must be made on the official online form with payment of registration fees and submitted to Joyeux Music International by Tuesday, 27 August 2024, 11:59pm Singapore time. Extended to 30 August 2024, 11.59pm, to avoid system failure due to last minute entries.
Incomplete applications without payment or required videos links will not be accepted.
No refund will be made once entries are submitted.
Changes to the repertoire is not allowed once the application is received.
The competition fees (in Singapore Dollars) for each category are as follows:
SOLO Categories
Rising Star I: $90, Rising Star II: $100, Rising Star III: $120
Young Artist I : $130, Young Artist II: $150, Young Artist III: $180
Professional Artist : $200
Specialist Artist II: $250
EXAMINATION Categories
Initial and Grade 1 : $90
Grades 2 & 3: $100
Grades 4 & 5 : $110
Grades 6 & 7: $130
Grade 8 : $160
Associate Diploma : $180
Licientiate Diploma : $200
PIANO DUO Categories
Junior Duet : $90
Senior Duet : $120
Artist Duo : $180
Professional Duo: $200
Piano Chamber: $250
Documents for Submission The following documents must be submitted together with the online form
A recent photograph of the applicant; Scanned copy of birth certificate or document showing proof of age and nationality
Youtube link(s) or Vimeo link(s) of the performance videos (For online competition) or audition video (for Live competition).
The registration fee payable once your entry is received.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION By submission of the registration form, the applicant agrees to all of the abovementioned regulations as well as the following terms and conditions:
The registration and competition fee is neither refundable nor transferable.
For ONLINE Competition : Participants must submit the registration form together with video link(s) of 2 works and payment by 27 August 2024. All works must be performed from memory.
For LIVE Competition: Participants need to submit the registration form together with a video link of 1work (played from memory) and payment by 27 August 2024. The LIVE competition will be held within the week of 3 to 6 September. The venue, date and time will be made known to all participants. Contestants of the LIVE competition are required to perform 2 works from memory.
Gala Winner's Concert: Winners who played in the LIVE competition will be invited to perform at the Gala Winners' Concert on 14 September 2024 at Alliance Francaise Theatrette.
The organiser (“Joyeux Music International”) reserves the right to cancel or combine any competition round and category if there are insufficient applicants.
Where applicants perform unpublished works in manuscript form, the onus is on the applicant to obtain the necessary approval under the Copyright Act to perform such works during the competition. The organiser will not be responsible for any copyright or composer’s fee incurred should the applicant fail to do so. Additionally, applicants agree to indemnify the organiser against any action and/or claims for damages from any third party who owns the copyright.
The organiser reserves the right to use the recordings of all or part of the submitted videos for publicity, promotional purposes or related events without any payment to the applicants.
Selected winners may choose or decide not to perform at the Gala Concert. In such an event, the organiser has the right to select other winners as replacements.
Applicants and their supporters must not communicate with or attempt to influence the panel of judges. Any breach of this rule will result in an automatic disqualification of the applicant.
In case of any dispute, the organiser’s decision shall be final and no discussion or correspondence will be entertained.
The organiser reserves the right to amend the rules and conditions of the competition.
