The Joyeux Music International Festival & Competition for Young Pianists 2021 closed with its Gala Winners' Concert amidst the pandemic on 20th Sept 2021. Held at the Esplanade Recital Studio, 16 Singapore-based performers showcased their works to a vaccinated audience. The festival included masterclasses by the jurors which served to train the prize winners - leading up to the concert. The photos here captured the night's Emcee Benjamin Foo, all the winners based in Singapore - from the Rising Stars, Young Artists and Examination Categories.
Guest appearance by Low Shao Suan, Low Shao Ying, Christine Octaviani and Josephine Koh performed an 8-hand work 'Champagne Toccata' by William Gillock. The prize giving ceremony followed, with winners receiving their trophies, medals and gift vouchers.
