Piano Competition for Young Pianists:

Open to pianists aged 4 to 35, this prestigious international competition continues to grow with an expanded range of categories that encourage both excellence and wider participation. Both LIVE and Online Competition categories will remain open to participants.

With an exceptionally busy competition calendar this season, we have decided to move the event to November, giving participants additional time to prepare their repertoire and present their performances at their best. Date of the GALA WINNER'S CONCERT will be announced soon.

Open Categories: No Age Limit

Collaborative music making is an enriching experience for everyone where the piano goes beyond merely a solo instrument. It is a partner in vocal or ensemble works, uniting different instrumental sounds with its body of capabilities and colours. We encourage duo, chamber and ensemble collaboration to shine on stage. And not to forget the timbre of the Classical Piano Concerto arranged for 2 pianos which can be explored before being staged with a larger ensemble.

Recognition of Piano Teachers & the JMI Pedagogy Festival

At the heart of every young musician’s development is a teacher. The new Joyeux Music International™ Pedagogy Festival recognises the vital contribution of piano teachers while creating opportunities for continued professional and artistic growth. Through teacher workshops, guest speakers, masterclasses, pedagogical discussions and performance opportunities, the Festival will encourage educators to deepen their teaching practice, musicianship and professional development — celebrating the teacher as educator, mentor, musician and lifelong learner.

As part of this recognition, teachers of Gold Prize winners will receive a Certificate of Teaching Excellence.

Festival programme, masterclasses, pedagogy activities, jury and schedule will be announced progressively.

We look forward to welcoming pianists, teachers and music educators to Singapore this November for an exciting new chapter of the Joyeux Music International™ Competition.
