The 2026 edition of the Joyeux Music International Competition will be held from 8–11 September 2026. Open to pianists aged 4 to 35, this prestigious international competition continues to grow with an expanded range of categories that encourage both excellence and wider participation - for both ONLINE and LIVE formats. Date of the GALA WINNER'S CONCERT will be announced later in the year.

- Examination Categories allow students to bring their exam pieces beyond closed rooms and recorded submissions.
- Free Programme Categories provide a higher level of challenge, inspiring participants within each age group to demonstrate creativity, technical mastery and individuality.
- Piano Duo/Duet and Piano Chamber Categories highlight collaborative music-making, offering pianists the chance to perform together in ensemble settings.
- New in 2026: Classical Piano Concerto – this exciting addition will give participants the opportunity to perform in one of the most celebrated genres of the piano repertoire. Further details will be updated here on the website.
