Shawn Moh is a Singaporean concert pianist, educator, and entrepreneur, and the Founder and Director of SOLO Music International, a multi-faceted organisation dedicated to music education, publishing, and performance. Its divisions include SOLO Music Academy, SOLO Music Bookstore — one of the leading distributors of international music publications in Vietnam — SOLO Concerts & Events, and the upcoming SOLO Music Foundation. Through these platforms, Shawn has played a key role in shaping Vietnam’s contemporary classical music landscape, supporting both students and teachers nationwide.
As a performer, Shawn has appeared in concerts across the UK and Asia, presenting a wide-ranging repertoire as both a soloist and collaborative pianist. His work as a performer extends beyond the stage, with a strong commitment to nurturing young musicians through masterclasses, workshops, and performance platforms. He is also regularly invited to serve as an adjudicator for international and national music competitions across Asia. In addition, he has been actively involved in curating and presenting major musical events, including international artist recitals and national-level concert series, contributing to the growth of vibrant performance opportunities within the region. Looking ahead, he is currently developing new initiatives including the SOLO International Piano Competition and the SOLO Children’s Choir, further expanding performance and artistic opportunities for young musicians.
Shawn is also the official representative of Naxos Music in Singapore and Vietnam, further strengthening his role in connecting international music resources, recordings, and educational materials with musicians and institutions across the region.
He currently serves as the Regional Development Consultant for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) in Vietnam. In this role, he leads strategic initiatives to expand ABRSM’s presence across the country, working closely with schools, music centres, and educators to raise standards in music education and increase access to internationally recognised qualifications. He is also the driving force behind initiatives such as the ABRSM High Scorers’ Concert & Award Ceremony in Vietnam, bringing together performance and recognition at the highest level.
Shawn holds a Master of Arts (Distinction), Bachelor of Music (Honours), and the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM) from the Royal Academy of Music, London. With a career that bridges performance, education, and business development, he is widely regarded as a leading figure in the advancement of music education in Vietnam and the region.
