Beyond individual instrumental teaching, this programme extends to include ensemble-based pedagogy, rehearsal techniques, and applied musicianship — preparing educators to work confidently across individual, group, and ensemble settings.- with preparing performances - from string ensembles to school bands and chamber groups

🎯 PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The Joyeux Music Pedagogy Academy (JMPA) is the professional training arm of Joyeux Music International, delivering structured, high-level pedagogy programmes aligned with ABRSM teaching diplomas.

This programme offers an 11-month structured training framework that integrates lesson planning, teaching, coaching, leading rehearsals, contributing activities to group sessions, supervising practice, attending training, reflective practice, and examination preparation - guiding educators towards ARSM and LRSM Teaching Diplomas.

PROGRAMME FOCUS
As an Authorised Diploma Training Center, the course programmes are designed based on ABRSM Diploma in Music Teaching examination syllabuses.  The scope includes: 

• Clear and systematic lesson and training design
• Confidence in preparing for performance
• Analytical reflection and pedagogical decision-making
• Readiness to guide both individual students and groups
• Ability to lead structured discussions and professional assessment

Participants are guided through a milestone-based framework combining modules for lectures, tutorials, case studies, and mentored feedback, with opportunities to engage in both individual and group teaching contexts.

APPROACH
Similar in scope but modified from our PIANO and VIOLIN programmes, this course prepares candidates adequately being aligned with ABRSM diploma requirements - for submission of video works, case studies and written reflections required in Unit 1A, Unit 1B and Unit 2.
